Created a branded hypothetical food cart that could be showcased here in Portland. Wanted to bring a piece of New Orleans to the Rainy City. Inspired by my Partner’s love for beignets and chicory coffee. This project was to mix our two favorite cities, our love for food, and overall bringing the community together with southern comfort food.
Why travel hundreds of miles for good food, when it can come to you? Inspired also by Portland’s influence of coffee lovers, pastry eaters, and food truck entrepreneurs. The joy of supporting businesses grinding work week or family get togethers by having a unique traveling food truck serve you.
Growing Gardens is a nonprofit organization who’s mission is to improve our communities overall health, and give food security to those who need it. They serve people in the Portland Metro area, but also help other non-profits in other states get started with their own community gardens. This is why this rebranding has to be extremely versatile.
Growing Gardens has three programs, one focuses on youths at local public schools (Youth Grow), another program is for family homes (Home Gardens), and the last program focuses on helping those in correctional facilities (Lettuce Grow).
At PSU, students pitched rebranding ideas for not just their logo, but for other possible deliverables this organization might need in the future. We all made branding books, created physical goods, and pitched our vision to the class before we handed it off to the clients to decide.
What is to come? More collaborative work? More laser cuts? Who knows.
More is to come. I can promise you that. Looking for great people to bounce ideas with. Could it be you?
